Department of Theory and History of State and Law

The Department is an educational and research unit of King Danylo University which provides methodical, scientific, research and educational instruction in the fundamental disciplines.

The educational process at the Department is based upon the decrees and orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Statute of King Danylo University (Private Higher Education Institution) and other valid legal acts.

A research school was formed on the basis of the Department which deals with state and political legal aspects of establishment, formation and development of statehood.

Scientific research focuses on analysis of state-legal validity, cooperation of state authorities and civil society, historical and legal issues and legislative regulation of legal relations in Ukraine, general theory of state and law, legal consciousness of juridical culture and education of population, realization of constitutional rights and freedoms, regulation of essential aspects of public life through legal systems of the states which comprised the Ukrainian territory, legal regulation of social welfare of public officers and local self-government officials.

- scientific and research activity in the areas of: the theory and history of state and law; the history of political and legal studies; philosophy of law; legal problems of political institutions and processes;

The work of the department in the organization and the educational process is constantly improving. To this end, supported close contacts and study experience of teaching and research departments of other relevant institutions. Faculty fruitfully cooperate with government agencies and legal institutions.

The scientist is the founder of the first Ukrainian laboratory of academic research in legal regulation and legal technology, which has a value in the training of lawyers. I.D. Shutak takes an active part in law-making activity of the state as an active figure in propaganda and affirmation of democratic values, Christian morals and ideas of building a rule-of-law state in Ukraine with priorities of justice and the rule of law.

Department of Criminal Law and Procedure

Department of Criminal Law and Procedure created by 1998 р. The department is the educational and scientific structural unit of King Danylo University, which conducts educational, methodological, research and educational work.
The department provides teaching of disciplines for the preparation of students for the educational qualification levels "bachelor", "specialist" and "master".

The research work of the department is characterized by the specifics of the department's work and scientific interests. The chair acts as the organizer of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar "Theoretical and practical problems of the development of criminal law and process, which takes place annually in the months of December.

The results of the scientific work of teachers are reflected in the scientific and practical manuals and monographs that are used in the educational process. Teachers of the Department of Criminal Law and the process are involved in the work of a legal clinic, which functions at the University's law faculty.

The results of the scientific work are displayed in teaching and methodical manuals and monographs which are recommended for the educational process. The lecturers at the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure are involved into the activity of the legal clinic which functions at the Law Faculty of the University.

At the disposal of the department there is a forensic laboratory and a courtroom, conducting classes which allow students to acquire practical skills in the field of jurisprudence. Gifted students are involved in writing scholarly works, articles, participating in student conferences, cultural events and sports events at the King Danylo University.

Teaching staff allows to provide training of lawyers-professionals, competitive in the modern labor market. The vast majority of graduates of the magistracy department work in courts of general jurisdiction, prosecutor's offices of different levels, law enforcement agencies, lawyers, etc.

The academic rank of associate professor of the department of criminal process and criminalistics was assigned in 2010 year.

Doctor of Law with 2014 year. Thesis on the topic: "Legal bases of decision-making and decision of the investigator at the stage of pre-trial investigation" defended 23 in May 2014 year and obtained a doctorate in law sciences in the specialty 12.00.09 - criminal procedure and criminalistics; forensic examination; operational search activity.

The academic title of the professor of the department of criminal-law disciplines and operative-search activity is assigned in 2016 year.

Department of Civil Law and Procedure

Department of Civil Law and Procedure established at the Faculty of Law of the University of King Danylo and operates with 1998. The Department is a teaching and scientific structural unit of the King Danylo University, which provides educational, methodological, research and educational work on the disciplines that are assigned to it. The educational process at the department is carried out on the basis of orders and orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Charter of the Private Higher Educational Institution of King Danylo University and other valid normative legal acts. The department operates in accordance with the Regulations on the Department of Civil Law and Process; functional duties of the head of the department and functional duties of scientific and pedagogical workers of the department of civil law and process.

The scientific work of the department is outlined by the specifics of scientific research of the department and the scientific interests of teachers and is carried out on the following topics: actual issues of civil legal relations; peculiarities of performance of contractual and non-contractual obligations; protection of civil rights and interests of citizens in the conditions of globalization; theoretical and practical aspects of civil liability; actual problems of realization and protection of property and personal non-property rights on objects of intellectual property; problems of the development of labor relations in connection with the accession of Ukraine to the EU; theoretical aspects of inheritance law; provision of rights of citizens in the process of enforcement proceedings; actual problems of development and functioning of civil legal proceedings of Ukraine, laws of the emergence, development and functioning of procedural law: comparative legal analysis with EU law; problems of implementation of EU legislation on protection of personal non-property rights in the field of intellectual property; problems of the formation and development of a law-governed state in the conditions of the occupation of certain territories of Ukraine; peculiarities of constitutional and legal responsibility of subjects of state-power relations; the transformation of the principles of land law of Ukraine at the present stage of regulation of land relations; civil and ethical problems of donation in Ukraine, etc.

In particular, the lecturers of the department carry out activities in the field of studying the effectiveness of the current legislation and its improvement. Participate in the preparation and substantiation of proposals for the improvement of Ukrainian legislation aimed at implementing EU norms into national legislation.

The department pays considerable attention to working with students. At present, the Faculty of Law has a courtroom hall, conducting classes that allow students to acquire practical skills in the field of jurisprudence.

The 076 specialty "Entrepreneurship, Commerce and Stock Exchanges" focuses on training specialists in modeling their own business, developing and implementing business projects and business plans, creating and developing start-ups, conducting entrepreneurial activities in various spheres of the economy using both traditional and innovative methods of trading (in particular, internet trading, e-commerce, online and offline retail) and acquiring practical skills on the platforms of stock, currency and commodity exchanges.

Department of Accounting and Taxation

Department of Accounting and Taxationis one of the first departments of the University of King Danylo and graduate departments of the Faculty of Economics. The history of the department dates back to the 1997 year, when the training on specialists in the 071 specialty "Accounting and Taxation" was started. At present, the department carries out training of students of educational qualification levels "bachelor" and "master".

Master Degrees in "Accounting and Auditing in Business Management" include: accounting in management; accounting in various areas of economic activity; accounting for investments; international accounting; accounting for small businesses; organization and methodology of accounting and audits; forensic accounting; and, management information systems for accounting.

Students of the specialty "Accounting and Taxation" take an active part in scientific conferences, symposiums, round tables and olympiads. Practical training of students is carried out at enterprises, institutions and organizations of the region.

Graduates of the specialty "Accounting and taxation" are competitive in the labor market, successful in entrepreneurial activity and in the civil service, work as teachers in educational institutions, hold positions of directors, chief accountants, leading specialists of commercial and financial departments at enterprises of different forms of ownership and types of economic activity , including in audit firms, banking institutions, state financial control bodies and insurance companies, etc.

Department of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering was founded by 2008 and is a structural unit of the University of King Danylo and is a part of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Design.
The department carries out educational, methodological, research and educational work. Provides teaching of disciplines for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of industrial and civil engineering for the educational-qualifying levels of "Bachelor" in the direction of preparation 6.060101 "Construction". The process of training specialists is fully equipped with educational, methodological and informational materials, the development and improvement of which constantly works professorial and teaching staff of the department.
The department is actively engaged in scientific work, its academic teaching staff is a regular contributor to regional and national periodicals, a number of scientific monographs and textbooks that are used in teaching process.
Gifted students are involved in writing scholarly works, articles, participating in student conferences, competitions, cultural events and sports events at the King Danylo University.
The department cooperates with construction companies, in particular practical lessons are carried out on construction sites. Graduates of the department work in well-known construction firms in Ukraine, public authorities and government bodies.

The Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, which was created one of the first in the Faculty, is very important and relevant because it allows students to receive complete higher professional education, and allows graduates of the University to implement their knowledge and skills in different fields of architecture and urban planning.

The Department trains students for their Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban planning (19 Architecture and Construction)Specialty 191 Architecture and Urban Planning. Training term - 4 years.

Successful fulfillment of the program involves obtaining by the student fundamental and professionally directed knowledge and skills, necessary to perform common occupational tasks at architectural designing organizations and enterprises of different ownership. Students with their Bachelor’s in Architecture have the ability to apply basic aesthetic categories, rules of architectural composition, economic and environmental principles in the construction of architectural design; to develop innovative techinques in the architectural design; organize the process of architectural and design engineering.

Students with their Bachelor’s degree will have the following advantages:

  • modern ideas about zoning principles and norms, planning of the development of the volume-spatial structure,
    constructive scheme and artistic image of architectural objects;
  • modern knowledge in the field of technology of computer simulation of architectural objects, engineering and engineering
    computer graphics;
  • advanced knowledge in architectural design and methods of technical and economic calculations;
  • basic concepts of general concepts and rules of the normative and technical basis of architectural design, rules
    execution of working project documentation;

In 2015, the Department opened Graduate School (Master's Degree Program). Graduates on Specialist’s and Bachelor’s are able to obtain the Master’s in Architecture and Urban Planning, (19 Architecture and Construction, in speciality of 191 Architecture and Urban Planning). The training term in Graduate School is 18 months.

After graduation masters get professional knowledge and skills of building foundations according to established functional, aesthetic requirements in the field of architecture and urban planning; fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles of space-planning and design solutions in architecture, the main directions and methods of regional planning and urban, modern trends of improving urban environment.

The students of architecture and urban planning department are actively involved in educational process and public life of the faculty and university; they are permanent participants and winners of various conferences, creative competitions and projects.

Graduates have analysis skills of contemporary issues in architecture and urban planning, ability to develop master plans of settlements, projects of buildings and comprehensive improvement of the urban environment; perform system analysis and research of architectural objects, assess current problem situations in urban building and solve them effectively using innovative techniques and methods, acceptance and justification of specific architectural solutions to improve the quality of urban environment.

In addition, they are provided with professional work in architectural and designing offices, design organizations, architecture and construction departments and divisions.

In general, the department is extremely important nowadays, because today, in a period of constant change and the emergence of new specific spheres of human activity, there is a great need for specialists who can design at a high level according to the requirements and needs of the society.

Considering the current requirements, an architect needs theoretical and practical knowledge of a variety of disciplines and personal qualities such as communication, energy and diplomacy. An architect is a builder and designer in one person who must keep pace with the development of new technologies today.

The department received its name in honor of the first rector and founder of the university dyu.n., professor Ivan Mykhailovych Lutskyi, who for a long time headed the department of philosophy of law, church-canonical and state-legal disciplines.

In its activity the Department successfully implements the classical model of education, based on the good humanitarian and professional training that enables students to have thorough development of knowledge.
In the educational process, lecturers always take into consideration and creatively use the advanced experience of the best native and foreign higher educational institutions.

The educational process at the Department is based on state standards of training higher educational specialists, as well as on their own innovative technologies, which are elaborated by the leading lecturers of the faculty.

Educational and methodical materials suits to modern standards of education and is constantly updated and improved. Scientific interests of lecturers of the Department are outlined by the specifics of the work of the Department.

Continuous improvement of the qualitative level of teaching contributes to the orientation of the department on a combination of academic activities with scientific studios, as evidenced by the systematic holding of scientific seminars, scientific and practical conferences, round tables and numerous publications of scientific works of the teachers of the department, among them: monographs, educational and teaching aids , scientific articles, theses of reports, etc., as well as organization and conducting of various student's scientific events.

In addition, lecturers of the Department actively participate in various national, intercollegiate, international scientific and practical conferences, which actively involve students of University.
The educational process is carried out according to programs that comply with the norms of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (humanitarian, fundamental, professional-oriented disciplines), as well as programs developed by the teachers of the department according to the modern methods of modern education. The educational process is fully equipped with appropriate methodologies, textbooks and tutorials.

Lecture courses on disciplines, taught by the faculty, are read using multimedia and other demonstration equipment. Seminars are conducted using modern test methods. During the course of individual disciplines, business games, practical tasks and various problem situations are also actively used.

Department of Information Technology and Software Engineering was founded in 2011 year. To date, the department employs: 2 doctors of sciences, 4 candidates of sciences and 6 faculty, part-time students of the largest IT companies of Ivano-Frankivsk city.

The department carries out preparation of bachelors and masters in the specialty 121 Software Engineering.

The Information Technology and Software Engineering Department has partnered with recognized IT companies and software developers such as Eleks, SoftJourn, SoftServe, and Bvblogic. These companies are included in the world’s 100 best IT outsourcing companies according to the 2015 rankings of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

The Department also holds the largest IT conferences in the city; the IT-Rally, IT-RallyStarters and Design Village. The Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Affairs is one of the youngest graduate departments of the King Danylo University, which was established in May of 2017 as a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Economics.
The main task of the department is to train highly qualified specialists in tourism and hotel and restaurant business, as the tourism industry is one of the priority in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast and given the rapid development of the hospitality infrastructure of the region, new requirements for customer service, tourist and hotel-restaurant facilities the region and Ukraine as a whole - are interested in the emergence of skilled professionals.
On the basis of the department, a scientific school is formed which studies the state-legal, political-legal aspects of the formation and development of state-owned nation-building and the influence of these processes on the state of affairs in the field of tourism and hotel and restaurant economy of Ukraine. The scientific potential of the department is also directed at the study of state-legal realities, the interaction of institutes of state power and civil society, issues of the historical-legal nature and legislative regulation of legal relations in this area in Ukraine.
The department provides the study of disciplines in the field of tourism and hotel and restaurant business, as well as conducting scientific communicative activities that promote the development of scientific activities, scientific seminars, round tables, disputes on topical issues related to the profile of its main activities.
The department carries out training in two specialties:
242 "Tourism" (full-time and part-time study);
241 "Hotel-restaurant business" (full-time and part-time study).
Graduates from these specialties can work in the field of domestic and international tourism and hotel and restaurant business:
- managers, economists, accountants in the field of tourism;
- administrators;
- organizers of tourism in the areas of cognitive, therapeutic, sports (equestrian, pedestrian, water, bicycle), ecological and green tourism,
- animators;
- guides-guides;
- reception desk staff, front desk and guest room;
- transfer agents;
- Specialists in extreme, skiing and other types of tourism;
- marketers and managers of marketing departments of tourist firms (tour operators and travel agencies);
- managers of advertising services and departments within the framework of travel agencies;
- managers of various departments of the tourist complex: hotel industry, restaurant business, transport services for tourists (aviation, railway and other transport companies), etc.;
- technologists in the restaurant industry.

The activities of the department are provided by specialists who have many years of experience in scientific, pedagogical and practical activities. The main staff of the department includes:
