LEGAL CLINIC OF UNIVERSITY PVNZ King Danylo

clinic

A Legal Clinic was established at Ivano-Frankivsk King Danylo Halytskyi University of Law in 2004 to provide practical training for legal specialists and provide senior students with internships in the field of "Jurisprudence” and “Law.”
The Clinic’s activities are based on the “Probono philosophy” (from the Latin “pro bono publico”or literally − for the public good.) This is accomplished by:
providing law students with the opportunity to practical professional skills;
creating opportunities for students to take internships;
providing socially vulnerable groups of society free legal advice;
educating the community on legal matters;
providing opportunities for students to interact with judicial representatives, law enforcement authorities and other public state and local authorities;
creating an effective information exchange between the community, the media and the Clinic in order to better understand the practical needs of citizens;
Every year the Legal Clinic becomes more efficient and effective - expanding the number of consultations provided to citizens by an average of 300 per year - and improving on the percentage of cases satisfactorily resolved. The Clinic also conducts on-site consultations and educational activities operating in cooperation with non-governmental organizations on international projects and participates in various events and competitions nationwide.
The University’s Legal Clinic is a member of the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine and works closely with the Guardianship Authority of the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, the City Centre of Social Services for Families, Children and Youth, and other public organizations by providing free secondary legal assistance.
The Legal Clinic operates from Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ye. Konovaltsia Street, 35, 1-st floor.
